[ Dennis Ksendzov / Influencer Advisory ]

I have helped wellness & software enterprises

  • Sell out in product Launches
  • Increase their valuation before partnerships
  • Source the best influencer partners before Q4
  • & reach their next revenue milestone with influencers

For enterprises already running an influencer program who are looking to scale aggressively. Five of them below, and what I did on each one.

Alexandre Valle of Shippo answering what made them choose us over the other agencies, cut from the 16 July call

One thing my team loved is the fact that, like, if you don’t deliver what you’re saying you will, you also take the risk with us in terms of, like, getting back into it. So I think that this is something that most of it is not super related to, okay, if we were f***ed, you’re f***ed or something like this. But it’s more of like, hey, they are really willing to make the number happen. Otherwise, like, they wouldn’t put their hands on fire for that. So I think that these are things that were like, kind of champion for us.

Alexandre V., Partner Marketing Manager, Shippo

this is kind of exactly what I was looking for. I like that it seems nice and simple. I appreciate that. I’ve talked to some agencies before where it just feels like it gets really convoluted.

[ The problem ]

Rumble Wallet is a digital wallet, and a lot of companies come around in that space, so most people have no reason to believe any of them are legitimate to begin with. Rumble needed a way to stand apart to creators and build trust.

[ What I proposed ]

A creative brief that builds trust, sizes up the main value propositions and integrates really naturally into the video, which is what led to a really high conversion rate.

[ What I did ]

1

Established the value propositions and a creative brief that set Rumble Wallet apart from other tools, because it matters to understand how to onboard creators who already like you.

Sourced hosts with sub $30 CPMs, which is very rare in finance, who were also active and growing at the same time.

3

Went looking for influencers who had lots of returning viewers, high loyalty and high trust, based on my own scanning system, and found that more than 40 per cent of their comments were asking questions about finance.

4

Placed six videos with two hosts across one week.

I even had to refilm one of them, because Jon Law mentioned something that could have triggered the FTC. I flagged it and had him refilm it.

5

Gave every video its own tracked link at wallet.rumble.com and its own code, so Rumble could tell which host brought each signup.

6

Logged the outcome.

[ The problem ]

TacPack ships a tactical gear box every month, a box costs about $140 and usually holds $250 to $300 of gear. They were looking to capture more market share through good influencers, who are hard to reach in that category, and needed to double down on YouTube influencers.

On top of that I had to follow a plan that made sure no video got taken down or removed, because these videos were talking about a regulated industry.

[ What I proposed ]

Reach the creators their competitors could not, and build the brief so every video survives review in a regulated category.

[ What I did ]

1

Extensively sourced creators, reached out to more than 1,000, and boiled that down to 5 at the best value.

US company setup for founders anywhere

Watch the Ritesh read, 57.7K subscribers

[ The problem ]

doola sets up US companies for founders anywhere in the world. Setting up a company is bought once, and only in a narrow window. Somebody wants it badly for about a week, and the rest of the year they do not think about it at all. Advertising into that is mostly waste, because you are paying to reach everyone in order to catch the few people standing at the door on that day.

[ What I proposed ]

One integration with a creator who teaches engineers how to build and sell AI products, and I ran it end to end, the creator, the rate, the script approval and the invoicing.

[ What I did ]

1

Matched on the moment rather than the category, the point where a software engineer decides to turn a side project into a business, because that is when someone needs a company set up.

2

Let Ritesh propose the concept and pick the title himself. He offered a three video breakdown, doola picked the one they liked, and the video published under that exact title, “If You’re a Software Engineer, You MUST Start an AI Business”, on February 18.

[ The problem ]

Shippo sells shipping software to people who mail orders from home. They had to reach influencers in a way that actually gave them skin in the game, instead of one off integrations. Their cost to acquire a customer was already sky high, their lifetime value kept getting bigger, and they could not sustain their other marketing channels. They had to double down here, especially as a lot of shipping label companies raced to the bottom.

[ What I proposed ]

I designed the whole partner program before proposing a single creator.

[ What I did ]

2

Built the deal around repeat use, a flat monthly fee so a creator gets paid before a single signup, commission on top for everyone who signs up on their link, and a three month pilot so both sides see what it earns before committing further.

3

Built two live pages, one explaining the program and one written to the creator directly.

[ The problem ]

Pulsetto sells a wearable that calms your body down in four minutes a day. The obvious creators for a calm and recovery device cost more than the entire budget, so the usual answer, go and get the big health names, was off the table before we started, and a long list of cheap creators would have burned the money without proving anything.

[ What I proposed ]

Sourcing affordable influencers at a sub 20 CPM across multiple agencies. I built a shortlist against a tight budget and a narrow brief, then argued it out creator by creator.

[ What I did ]

1

Worked backwards from what he could actually afford and only put forward creators who cleared it, because a long list would have been useless at that budget.

2

Went out to the talent agencies for their own recommendations, so the shortlist was not limited to who I could reach directly.

6

Sourced Andrew Huberman and sent him a gift package, down to the travel case and the handwritten note.

What happened

To be transparent, Pulsetto ultimately backed out of the deal due to budget constraints. I had already started the sourcing process and prepared everything, but because they decided not to move forward, I was unable to run the campaign.

That said, I was able to secure these creators at highly competitive rates, and I believe this opportunity could be valuable for another company as well.

[ Who I am ]

Who I am

I sold sponsorships on behalf of creators before I ever bought them for brands, so I know where the padding hides in a rate, and I built the database of more than 700,000 sponsorships that every deal on this page is priced against.

Most agencies hide the landscape from you, only take enterprises who already have an internal influencer team, and only know how to sell wellness and supplements. I work the other way round, because the buying starts from data rather than from a contact list, and what that buys you is the vetting logic, the real market rates, and sales per creator every single week instead of a summary at the end of the quarter.

I build the program around what you actually sell, including regulated categories and B2B, and when it needs to be bespoke I go and find the celebrity name that changes how your market sees you and negotiate it from the ground up, which is why I spend so much of my time in Los Angeles.

More than 50 brands so far, and more than 70 percent of them are still here past 90 days.

Brands were paying $30,000 for one sponsored video that did not hit a single KPI.

I am the numbers guy. I have looked at an enormous amount of data, so I understand what is typical for an industry, what is overpriced, what is underpriced, where the value sits and where the arbitrage is.

Along with one of the founders, I helped build this agency into something that has served more than 50 brands, and most of those brands come back and buy again.

I built my own database and my own tools, and more importantly I worked out how to measure influencer attribution over long time horizons, including how it affects valuation, how to generate earned media value with influencer stunts, and how to host creator dinners.

Before that I worked directly with YouTube creators at YouTube Advisor, helping them build their own products and monetize their audiences. As a creative director I worked with YouTubers in fitness and health, including Football Fundamental and Ground Glory among others, developing strong thumbnails, hooks and creative. I am very familiar with what it takes to make an outstanding ad.

When I am not working, you will find me camping, learning languages or cooking.

Because I am buying across many brands rather than one, I negotiate as a repeat buyer instead of a stranger. I hold quoted rates on file, so I know when a number is way out of line compared to the industry average, I package several creators into one negotiation to bring the unit price down, and I push back on rates creator by creator rather than accepting the first quote.

[ My analyses ]

My analyses

I publish full breakdowns of other brands’ influencer campaigns, measured from the outside using my own sponsorship database. I did not run these campaigns and the pages say so. They exist to show how I read a program, because that is the same reading I apply to a client’s own.

The money figures on LMNT are modelled, not measured. They rest on a $25 cost to acquire and an assumed six months of retention, so treat them as an estimate and be ready to say so if a prospect asks.

I can read your influencer program the same way, number by number.

My data

Every number on this page comes out of a system I built myself. It tracks 688 companies and 1,568 creators, with rates, grades, average views, engagement and the state of every conversation, in one place. It scans sponsored videos to find who a brand has already worked with, it grades a creator before I ever suggest them, and it keeps every sequence and reply where anyone can see it.

That is why I can tell a brand what a creator actually charges, and why I can answer “has this creator worked with our competitor” in a minute rather than a week.
